As the Managing Partner of Dubai Sotheby's International Realty, Chris Whitehead is an industry visionary with more than three decades of experience in residential sales and developments. He started his property career in UK back in 1993, as a private developer, delivering residential homes and investment properties.
As the Middle East entered its initial real estate expansion phase, Chris intercepted the opportunity to increase his portfolio internationally and quickly identified a gap for a real estate brokerage in Dubai, to serve the rapidly growing sector and deliver prime real estate services. This led to his first partnership in 2004, building a residential agency, just as the freehold laws came into effect in Dubai. Holding an impressive sales track record and understanding of the Dubai market dynamics, Chris continued to gain recognition as a central figure with solid expertise in maximising resources and driving change in the industry.
In 2010, Chris took on another major venture by launching a full-scale brokerage in Dubai, from conception to overseeing a team of over 200 employees with a focus on the mid-level segment of the market. In a move that perfectly aligned with the growing demand for prime and super prime sales in the emirate, Chris strategically repositioned his brokerage under the Sotheby’s Realty brand and was announced as Managing Partner in 2016. He continues to lead the salesforce and operates closely within the Sotheby’s Realty network. By leveraging his influence, implementing and developing best practices within the industry, Chris has positioned himself as a significant leader within Dubai’s real estate landscape.
