Chris Whitehead is Managing Partner of Dubai Sotheby’s International Realty, overseeing the city’s flagship Sotheby’s International Realty office under a brand with more than 282 years of heritage. He is responsible for the firm’s positioning within the regional and international private client markets, bringing a perspective rooted in nearly three decades of experience across evolving real estate markets.

With early experience in residential and investment-led real estate in the United Kingdom, Chris developed an in-depth understanding of value creation from the asset side of the industry before moving to the Middle East in 2004, just as Dubai entered its first phase of large-scale real estate expansion. Arriving at the outset of the city’s freehold era, he became part of the industry’s early formation, partnering on his first residential agency.

He later founded a full-service brokerage in 2010, scaling it to a platform of more than 200 professionals and establishing it as a highly successful business in the market. This led to the firm’s pivotal integration into the Sotheby’s International Realty network in 2016, where Chris proved central in shaping how the business operated within the global brand framework, positioning it as one of the region’s early globally branded, prestige-led firms focused on super- prime clients.

Since then, he has expanded Dubai Sotheby’s International Realty’s regional and international reach at the top end of the market, while overseeing continued landmark transactions across Dubai’s most significant residential offerings. Under his direction, the advisory has become a defining force in the city’s market for blue-chip residential assets — properties increasingly viewed through the lens of long-term capital preservation and generational wealth.
