Syrah

Located in Ano Syros, its entrance is widely thought to date back to the late 12th, early 13th century, constructed as a fortress to protect inhabitants of the village against pirate attack.

Perched on top of Ano Syros, directly underneath the Monastery of Saint George, its elevated position affords stunning sea views of neighboring islands. On clear days you can see far across the Aegean to Ikaria and Samos.
