Family-Friendly Properties in Dubai
One of the first family-friendly communities in Dubai was Arabian Ranches, which proved to be so popular that it led to the development of Arabian Ranches 2 and, more recently, Arabian Ranches 3. Alongside this, higher end communities such as Emirates Hills, Emirates Living, and Jumeirah Islands came to fruition. Over time, Dubai’s residential footprint has expanded beyond the city and now encompasses the vast suburban stretch known as Dubailand. This has effectively become a hub for family neighbourhoods such as Jumeirah Golf Estates, Tilal Al Ghaf, and Dubai Hills Estate.
Villas and townhouses are among the most popular options for family-friendly living, as they offer vast amounts of space for different family units, and also have large private gardens and backyards where children can play peacefully. Each neighbourhood has its own unique amenities - for example, Dubai Hills Park or the beautiful Crystal Lagoons at the heart of District One and Tilal Al Ghaf.
Apartment complexes have also become much more geared towards families over the years, offering amenities such as indoor and outdoor play areas for children, study rooms, separate children’s swimming pools, and multipurpose rooms that can be booked for various activities. Higher end branded residences also offer childcare services on demand, a boon for parents with packed schedules.
Dubai’s family-friendly communities are complemented by excellent infrastructure as well. All of the major neighbourhoods are in the catchment area of top international schools - some communities such as Tilal Al Ghaf and Dubai Hills Estate have their own schools on-site. Healthcare facilities, shopping malls, and other popular attractions are all easily accessible thanks to well-planned road networks.
