Dubai’s Historic Mina Rashid

Mina Rashid, a master-planned waterfront community, is being developed along the historic Port Rashid, a trading hub inaugurated in 1972 and recently reimagined as a cruise terminal and yacht marina. Spanning 6.8 million square feet, Mina Rashid is divided into six mixed-use districts, in a combination of luxury apartments, hotels, retail outlets, and restaurants resulting in a cohesive and lively community. The area will see a massive transformation underway, including having a mall by the sea. A joint venture between DP World-owned P&O Marinas and Emaar will oversee the development – stretching into Deira – with an extensive seafront. Mina Rashid is currently home to the fabled QE2 ocean liner, a 13-deck floating hotel, and a permanent tourist attraction.
