The Best Bars in Business Bay: From Listening Rooms to Rooftop Pools
Published: 10 March 2026
Alongside Downtown Dubai and DIFC, Business Bay is one of Dubai's main corporate engines – a district of gleaming glass towers, world-class restaurants, and upscale branded residences. It's also home to one of the city’s more refined nightlife scenes, with everything from intimate listening bars and design-led speakeasies to full-scale nightclubs. Whether you're looking for a quiet spot for an after-work sundowner or somewhere grand and glittery to take visiting friends, here are seven bars worth trying in Business Bay.

1. Soul Kitchen
Dubai isn't short on glossy, Instagram-savvy lounges, but Soul Kitchen offers something exceedingly rare in the city: genuine atmosphere and exceptional live music. Tucked away on Marasi Drive, this is a bar built around live performance, hosting an authentic roster of local artists – from Afro-funk collectives to jazz quartets and experimental soul. This is where Dubai's 'cool' crowd come to play: musicians, gallery types from Alserkal, and genuine enthusiasts who enjoy a full set without talking over the music. Dinner at Soul Kitchen is a fusion of Latin American and Lebanese flavours, best sampled at the bar's ‘Big Bad Brunch’ every Saturday afternoon.
2. Bar Dalí, The Opus
A self-declared 'surrealist sanctuary', Bar Dalí is an homage to the dreamlike world of Spanish artist Salvador Dalí, with artful red-velvet interiors and an award-winning cocktail list recognised in The Pinnacle Guide. Fittingly set within The Opus by Omniyat – the surrealist, cube-like Business Bay landmark designed by Zaha Hadid – the experience is utterly theatrical and exclusive. This is where to come when you want to escape the frenetic Dubai rush: as Bar Dalí's drinks director Vitor Hugo Lourenço put it, "Most speakeasies hide from the police. Bar Dalí hides from reality."
The dinner menu is led by British chef Tristin Farmer, serving polished Mediterranean-Japanese plates with an emphasis on open-flame cooking. Bookings are recommended – the venue is intimate and fills quickly.
3. High Society, The Lana
Crowning The Lana – Dorchester Collection, High Society is elevated in every sense. This cosmopolitan Business Bay bar has a sweeping infinity pool with unobstructed views of the Burj Khalifa and Downtown skyline, creating one of the most cinematic settings in the city for evening drinks. By day, the draw is ice-cold mojitos and light bites by the poolside; as night falls, rare champagne against the glitter of city lights.
Michelin-starred chef Jean Imbert leads the dinner experience, with a French-inspired menu spanning caviar, crudo, pasta, and pizza. For a more focused dining experience, The Lana is also home to Jara – a world-class Basque seafood restaurant led by renowned 12-Michelin-starred chef Martín Berasategui.
4. The St. Regis Bar
The St. Regis Bar keeps close to tradition with dark wood panelling, deep leather armchairs, and a hushed, club-like atmosphere. Located inside The St. Regis Downtown Dubai along the canal, it channels the brand's New York heritage with a classic cocktail menu and traditional champagne sabring ritual at sunset every day. The signature Bloody Mary – a St. Regis ritual since the 1930s – comes front and centre, alongside a strong selection of whiskies and wines. Evenings here tend to attract a mature, well-heeled crowd: business travellers, couples, and residents seeking conversation rather than thumping DJ sets.
5. Honeycomb Hi-Fi
If contemporary, Tokyo-inspired cool is what you're after, Honeycomb Hi-Fi is where to go. This Business Bay record-shop-style bar is set within the Pullman Hotel and is Dubai's first dedicated listening bar, led by the same team behind Miss Lily's. Music is at the centre of the experience, with vinyl-only sets played through a custom high-fidelity sound system and a programme that moves fluidly between soul, jazz, hip-hop, disco, and global grooves. Guests enter through a small record-shop front before stepping into the main room, where shelves of vinyl line the walls.
The concept extends beyond music: dinner is served izakaya-style, with dishes designed for casual sharing alongside cocktails. Honeycomb is one of those rare bars that hosts a late-night happy hour (11pm–1am), but it fills quickly, so booking is recommended.
6. IZEL Lounge
Set on the 72nd and 73rd floors of the JW Marriott Marquis – one of the world's tallest hotels – IZEL Lounge brings a more electric nightclub energy to Business Bay. A contrast to the hotel's more restrained venues, IZEL comes alive late, with international DJs, dancers, and a social crowd there to stay until well after midnight. Led by chef Jorge Pérez Blay, the menu blends Mediterranean and Japanese influences, with sushi, grilled meats, and sharing plates designed to accompany bottle service. This is one of the newest bars in Business Bay (circa January 2025), but it's already a mainstay.
For a quieter evening in the JW Marriott, head over to Vault – a long-standing favourite for serious cigar smokers, with a walk-in humidor, strong whisky list, and uninterrupted views across the skyline.
7. Cavo
Cavo is one of Business Bay's most reliable dinner-to-late-night venues. Located on the 6th floor of Ramee Dream Hotel on Al Asayel Street, this luminous space has rustic bohemian interiors with soaring ceilings draped in hanging foliage. Full-height windows frame views over the Burj Khalifa, making it a natural choice for special occasions, all-out celebrations and group nights out. The menu is international with a Nikkei sensibility: beef carpaccio, Dibba Bay oysters, sushi, and substantial sharing plates you can pick at throughout the night. Music is taken seriously at Cavo, with an emphasis on organic house, Afro house, and deep techno sets. The outdoor terrace brings a slower pace, with candlelit tables and views that stretch across to Downtown.
