The Hamptons Cafe and Restaurant

Located on the northern edge of Jumeirah Islands – close to the neighbouring JLT – this quaint eatery is the perfect lunch outing for the family. With excellent hospitality and easy parking, the restaurant also offers an all-day breakfast menu.

Combining a contemporary lifestyle with natural surroundings, the establishment boasts a wide selection of exceptional coffee and extravagant cakes, complemented by an ambience which allows visitors to unwind while enjoying the serene lake view.

The establishment markets itself as “a bespoke and boutique service of home-made delicacies such as; cakes, pastries and much more”. The extensive macaron menu offers flavours such as lavender and pistachio, while there is also an abundance of croissants, mini-tarts and cream puffs. The breakfast menu delivers a comprehensive selection of egg dishes; the scrambled egg croissant a particular highlight.

While the breakfast menu is the centrepoint of this charming cafe, there is also a lunch menu featuring favourites such as burgers and fries. However, one of the most eye-catching aspects is the terrace, which offers sweeping views of the surrounding lake.

Joe’s Backyard Gastropub

One of the best things about this establishment is the views of Dubai Marina and JLT from its elongated terrace. However, this Jumeirah Islands Clubhouse restaurant doesn’t just offer views; the menu is just as captivating.

With its relaxed atmosphere, guests can dine daily between 9 am and 1 am, from a menu specialising in comfort foods – the perfect option for families living in the surrounding area. The breakfast menu presents a variety of cooked dishes alongside lighter, health-conscious options. For lunch, diners can enjoy classic starters such as chicken wings and beef sliders, followed by well-loved mains including the cheeseburger, buffalo chicken sandwich, and fish and chips.

The a la carte menu is even more expansive and allows for indulgences like the avo fries for starters or the roasted salmon fillet for mains – offering a little more refinement. The menu also provides flatbread options, while the Joe’s Platter is ideal for sharing. With some delightful options for dessert, this neighbourhood gastropub further excels through its extensive beverage menu, featuring a wide selection of favourites.

Isola Ristorante

Directly next to Joe’s Gastropub, Isola Ristorante offers a slightly more sophisticated option through its elegant atmosphere. Set within the Jumeirah Islands Clubhouse, the restaurant features a beautifully designed terrace, with outdoor seating providing exceptional views of the surrounding lake.

An Italian restaurant, there is a comprehensive breakfast menu on offer, as well as an extensive a la carte menu. With a selection of antipasti, salads, and risotti – the lobster linguine being a particular standout – the menu continues to impress with its fish and meat offerings. Highlights include the grilled king prawns with zucchini scapece and the indulgent Wagyu T-bone steak for two, sure to leave guests craving more.

While the food menu is undoubtedly exceptional, the wine and beverage selection elevates the experience even further – showcased by an impressive 24-page menu. Another standout feature of this captivating restaurant is the Isola Ladies' Night, offering a starter, main course, dessert, and three drinks for just AED 155 – an ideal choice for a relaxed evening with friends.

Another eye-catching feature of this harmonious establishment is the cigar selection. If it pleases, guests can choose from a variety of Cuban cigars, including the Cohiba Behike, often regarded as the Rolls Royce of cigars.

Alusia

Situated next to The Hamptons Cafe and Restaurant, Alusia is a culinary haven blending Levantine and Andalusian flavours. With their mission of creating unforgettable dining experiences, tapas-style dining is a feature of this charming establishment, perfect for family and friends with diverse tastes.

Open daily from 9 am to 11 pm, the restaurant presents an extensive menu that begins with enticing breakfast options such as the Spanish omelette, shakshuka, and the Levantine cheese platter. The fatayer selection offers a further nod to Levantine culture, while the homemade soups and salads provide lighter, refreshing choices. The tapas menu features standout dishes like harissa shrimp and Wagyu shawarma, while the grill section showcases Mediterranean favourites such as pollo al ajillo (garlic chicken) and Greek-spiced seabream. Rounding out the menu is a selection of classic Spanish paellas, adding yet another layer of culinary authenticity.

Another highlight of this captivating eatery is the inviting atmosphere. Playing a fine blend of Andalusian and Arabic melodies, the mood is perfect for enjoying the delightful cuisine on offer. Once finished dining, the evening can further be enhanced by an authentic Levant-inspired shisha, with a range of flavours on offer.

Sal’s Bistro

The sweeping expanses of Jumeirah Islands are on full display at Sal’s Bistro, via floor-to-ceiling windows which bathe the restaurant in natural light. A father and son endeavour, the restaurant was initially created by Joe & Jason Bassili as a space for family and friends to meet for informal gatherings, but the high-quality food on offer was destined to be shared with the city.

Featuring an expansive brunch menu – in the traditional sense of the word, rather than the Dubai interpretation – the eatery also presents Signature Poke Bowls, salmon-based starters, and a classic appetiser selection that includes East Asian-inspired dishes such as the salty miso soup. The main courses include indulgent options like tenderloin steak frites, while the seafood section features standout choices such as Alaskan black cod. A dedicated pasta menu is also available, though the pièce de résistance is arguably the extensive assorted sushi selection, offering more than 60 varieties.

While primarily a dine-in facility, the restaurant also provides catering options, so if you’re having a party and cooking for multiple guests just isn’t your thing, Sal’s will cater all your favourite dishes for any special occasion.
