Burj Al Arab Views & Bold Flavours: Dubai’s Scenic Dining Spots

The Burj Al Arab Hotel stands as one of the most iconic buildings in the world, with its distinctive sail-shaped design making its silhouette globally recognisable – a stay at this celebrated hotel is just one of many the reasons why tourists flock to the city. In fact, in the first quarter of 2025 alone, Dubai welcomed more than five million overnight visitors which stands as a testament to the city's enduring appeal.

When it comes to dining with a view, few experiences – for both visitors and residents – compare to that of enjoying a meal overlooking an architectural masterpiece such as the city’s Burj Al Arab. Whether you're seeking a romantic evening for two or an elegant gathering with family and friends, these high-end restaurants offer a seamless blend of culinary excellence and breathtaking views that elevate your dining experience.

Kayto

A glorious Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant set on the rooftop of the Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel, Kayto will inundate your taste buds with a multitude of flavours. Guided by the culinary expertise of Chef Christian Goya, this stylish eatery offers a tasting menu for the ages, while the Salmon Tataki in Karashi-Su Sauce and the Tuna Truffle Cerviche provide contemporary takes on Japanese and Peruvian classics.

Perfect for a quick escape from the busy city, the fine dining establishment also offers a “mesmerising Bento lunch experience elevated by the Nikkei cuisine”, as well as a 4-course set menu. Fridays are for the Matcha lunch – an experience which harks back to the days of ancient tea ceremonies but with a modern twist. Each dish is thoughtfully paired with a different depth of matcha, offering guests the opportunity to experience a unique culinary journey.

Complementing the sublime menu are breathtaking views of the Burj Al Arab, creating a dining experience that is as visually stunning as it is gastronomically pleasing.

Rockfish

Also in the Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel complex is the Michelin-selected Rockfish – a Mediterranean-inspired seafood restaurant run by head chef Andrea Brugnetti. With his goal of elevating the dining experience of his guests, the Italian chef uses the kitchen as an outlet to express emotion, which emphatically shines through in his exquisite dishes.

A featured establishment of Dubai Restaurant Week, the eatery is an ode to the ocean, highlighted by a sensational tasting menu complete with standouts such as the Branzino Pizzaiola featuring Atlantic Seabass, as well as the Linguine Ricci e Bottarga with its incomparable sea urchin sauce. The a la carte menu is also exceptional, offering a fine raw selection, as well as an oyster and a caviar section. The pasta and main course menus are no less tantalising, providing sophisticated palates with standouts such as the Lobster Ravioli and the Salmon Trout & Amaretto.

The terrace, which delivers direct access to Ocean Beach, provides inviting views of the Burj Al Arab, making it an ideal setting for al fresco dining with inspiring visuals.

Pierchic

Perfectly placed on its own pier which stretches almost 200 metres into the Gulf of Arabia, this prominent establishment has been a staple of Jumeirah’s restaurant scene for some time. Accessible only by walking, the eatery is helmed by Beatrice Segoni, a fashion-designer-turned-chef who cut her culinary teeth in a quaint Florentine restaurant before moving to one of Dubai’s best-loved restaurants.

The food is as Italian as the chef herself, with an exquisite truffle menu giving way to the expansive antipasti selection, with pasta and risotti standouts such as the Risotto All’astice – a fine lobster risotto – and the Calamarata Alla Carbonara, a sensational calamarata with sea carbonara.

As fine as the menu is at Pierchic, nothing can compare to the exceptional vistas of the Burj Al Arab on offer. With an unobstructed view across the shallows towards the celebrated hotel, the outdoor terrace of this sophisticated restaurant boasts some of the best spectacles in the entire city.

Iliana

Located at the end of Al Salah beach in the exclusive Marsa Al Arab Hotel, this Mediterranean-infused restaurant provides guests with a warm atmosphere in a charming setting.

Inspired by the culinary traditions found on the Greek Islands, the establishment is headed by Greek chef Andreas Gkipalis, who brings a wealth of experience to proceedings. Authentic flavours abound throughout the menu, which touches on Gkipalis’ Hellenic heritage, including the delightful raw menu highlight: Tuna Tartare with Caviar. There is also a range of hot and cold appetisers, while the main menu provides a velvet kiss for the taste buds through the exceptional Tomahawk steak. The Dover Sole with Lemon Dressing is another delightful nod to the ocean, while the Pandesia Seafood Pasta will have the aquatic fare aficionado savouring every bite.

Set along the pristine shores of the Arabian Gulf and situated just over 500 metres from the Burj Al Arab, this fine dining establishment boasts one of the most enviable vantage points of the iconic hotel anywhere in the city.

Nuska Beach

With its white archways and beach-side terrace, there is a uniquely Mediterranean feel running through Nuska Beach. The tranquil location, as well as the enjoyable atmosphere, make this one of Jumeirah Beach’s standout restaurants – topped off by an ambience brought to the fore thanks to the welcoming servers.

With its fusion Mediterranean and Levantine menu, the eatery offers something a little different, brought about by the elegant skills of Chef José Andres Cacciavillani. With 20 years of experience, the Argentine weaver of edible dreams pushes the boundaries of possibility in the kitchen, providing intrigued diners with bold, flame-grilled masterpieces.

The menu itself is a sensory embrace of imagination. The Chargrilled Clams are an enticing proposition to start, while the Greek Salad offers a light option before we come to the main event. The Nuska Steak Tartare, as well as the Tuna Tartare, are particularly appealing options on the Raw menu, while the Wagyu Striploin steak offers a treasure chest of flavour. The sharing platters are also a nod to the ocean, with plenty of exceptional seafood options.

The outdoor terrace at Nuska Beach presents sweeping views of the Arabian Gulf, with the iconic Burj Al Arab commanding pride of place at the heart of the vista.

Whether you are visiting Dubai or call the city home, a wealth of exceptional fine dining options await – each offering stunning views of the iconic Burj Al Arab. From the distinctive Japanese-Peruvian fusion cuisine at Kayto to the Mediterranean-inspired flavours of Iliano, these establishments promise a dining experience as photo-friendly as they are delectable.
